1. Understand the basics. "Get Paid To" or GPT sites usually gives you offers or tasks to complete and you receive money in exchange, some will take time and others will be quick. It is different to "Paid To Click" sites your earnings build up much faster in less time.

Finding the best GPT site is not always the one with the best looks or the one the give you "high" earnings right from the start because often you will see that they have also a high cash out amount requirement which is not practical and when you register to a site for the first time you want to confirm for yourself that you got paid not read proofs or testimonials, there are many out there but you want one that gives you offers frequently and lets you cash out without too much hassle or too much effort. 

2. Look for sites that have been on the business for a long time. You will find this information at their copyright footer (eg. © 2008-2013) telling for how many years they have been online since started.

If a website has been on the business for a couple of years already probabilities are that the website is legit and has been paying members and on the other side you will easily be able to find feedback of this site, which gives you a safe feeling if you decide to invest at some point on a upgraded membership or something related into getting more benefits (like having more referrals).

3. Find who the owner or registrant of the site is and get all the info you can from them. Commonly you find the actual company name at their copyright footer, if not you can easily get very useful information from this site: http://website.informer.com just by entering the site URL.

It is recommended to do a full research on the owner of the website you will like to join because you will easily get a bigger and better picture of who the owner is and what else they have done (you can see which of their sites are more popular if they have related sites). 

Often on this kind of business you will find out that sites have almost the same offers or possibly look the same, that is because the owner has "sister" sites. The reason for this can vary, but an easy one would be because they have different terms (eg. one of their sites accepts registration only if you are from a specific country and another of their sites accepts registrations internationally.)


4. Expand your possibilities of earning more. You may want to have several doors open when it comes to earning more so join a couple of GPT sites with offers that the other sites you have joined already don't have.

Just keep in mind that doing an offer from the same "offer company" on different sites is not recommended since most probably you will only get credit on the first one that offer company accepted.

5. Getting referrals. A referral is someone that registered a site using your referral link, it isn't obligatory to get referrals but they sure can boost your earnings since you receive a percentage of whatever they earn as a reward to you for getting a new member to the site.

Consider the "age" of the site when it comes into getting referrals, it has pros and cons on this matter. 

Pros, because the longer a website has been running the more likely they will join in because of its good reputation and actually became a legit money earning site, it will have very good feedback and getting your family/friends to join it will become easier when they see all the goodies you have made if you have been a member for some time, so the profits are almost for sure. 

Cons, because it becomes more difficult to get referrals on a site already "famous" by itself and getting them often requires more investment outside the site (advertising) than only paying for a method to get referrals inside the site (buying a membership or referral package) where referrals start to build up on its own.

On the flip side, if you combine the knowledge you have from your favorite GPT site and look for one of the owner's sister sites that you know will be scaling up popularity with time (after all, every site has to earn its popularity at some point so joining them early has its benefits and better if it is from a "known" owner) you could invest right from the start on getting referrals and see them build up much faster with a better membership.
